Indoor Track and Field

The Warriors completed their Indoor Track and Field season at the KCAC Championships, starting on Feb. 12. Traveling to the College of St. Mary in Omaha, NE, the Warriors had a very successful meet, as many achieved personal or season bests. Baseball

The baseball Warriors faced off against the Central Christian College Tigers on Feb. 13. In an equal battle fight, the Warriors pulled ahead in the third inning with a two-run home run by Andrew Dutro. They won the home game 6-4, furthering their success in pre-season victories.

The York University Panthers came to the Sterling College field for a three-game match-up on Feb. 15 and 18. The Warriors smacked two wins against the Panthers, collecting a 6-5 win in the first game and an 11-6 score in the second. In the final game on Feb.18, the Warriors set their final win at 8-4.

Basketball

JV Men’s basketball fought against the Central Christian Tigers on Feb. 13, achieving an 81-78 win.

Both varsity teams traveled to Kansas City, MO for a match against the Avila University Eagles on Feb. 14. The varsity women lost 66-59 to the Eagle, and the varsity men stole a 79-74 win in the game’s minutes.

The varsity basketball teams traveled to Evangel University on Feb. 17, where they faced a rough matchup. The women’s team lost 85-70, and the men’s team lost 82-60.

Cheerleading

The Sterling College Cheer team traveled to Bethel College to continue their competitive season. After a rough start in last week’s York Univerity competition, the Warriors spent two days performing their routine, which will hopefully land them an invite to the NCAA Championships in March.
