Chapel changes for the new school year

Chapel is quite the mainstay at Sterling College, whether your favorite part of the weekly sessions is the speaker that visits, prayer, or singing with the worship team; it is all an important part of the community at Sterling.

This year, there have been some changes to the institutions chapel services. Most will remain the same, remaining twice a week on Wed. and Friday at 10 in the morning.

Starting during the Friday hour, chapel will be split into men’s and women’s groups, meeting in different locations in smaller groups. This is a change from the normal large service in the Culbertson Auditorium.

It was hard to find mixed reviews around campus, as most students are in support for the change, according to Madilynn Green, a second year student she said, “I am excited about the new Women’s and Men’s bible studies on campus during the Friday chapel hour. I think this will be a great way to dive into the Lord’s word while fellowshipping and creating a deeper bond with the people around you.”

Although the school year has just started a lot of the new changes around campus have brought in some positive results that look to build in the community of the campus.
